Michael Ammar is widely regarded as one of the greatest teachers of magic in the world, but his influence extends far beyond instruction. He is an award-winning performer, best-selling author, and an icon in the art of sleight-of-hand.

Ammar holds a Gold Medal in Close-Up Sleight-of-Hand from F.I.S.M., the most prestigious competition in magic, often referred to as the Olympics of the art. He was also the first magician to be named “Magician of the Year” six times by the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle in Hollywood.

Beyond his performances, Ammar has revolutionized the way magic is taught. His Discover Magic Curriculum, which blends magic with essential life skills, is currently being taught to thousands of children aged 8-12 in over 120 cities worldwide, shaping the next generation of magicians.

His career highlights include performing at three U.S. Presidential Inaugurations, multiple appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Late Show with David Letterman, and the iconic World’s Greatest Magic television special.

Recognized as one of the most influential magicians of the Twentieth Century by MAGIC magazine, Ammar’s impact on magic continues to grow. In July 2024, he was honored as the Guest of Honor at the International Brotherhood of Magicians annual convention, a testament to his lasting legacy.

His book, The Magic of Michael Ammar, has now been reprinted for the 22nd time, with critics hailing it as “the best single-volume magic book ever published.”

Through his performances, teachings, and writings, Michael Ammar has not only preserved the traditions of magic but has also inspired and educated countless magicians, ensuring that the art continues to evolve for future generations.
