The 2025 FISM World Championships of Magic in Turin marks a groundbreaking achievement: for the first time, FISM has authorized the inclusion of Demonstration Categories. This initiative allows the organizing committee to introduce two innovative categories, with the potential to elevate them to official status if successfully presented at two consecutive championships.

FISM ITALY 2025 WORLD Champion Street Magic – Demonstration Category

1. Participation Requirements:

• Open to all street magicians.
• Applications must be submitted by April 1st, 2025.
• A selection committee will review submissions to determine participants.

2. Pre-Selection Details:

• Pre-selection will occur on Saturday and Sunday before the start of the WCM (July 12-13, 2025).
• Participants must perform a street magic act lasting 20-25 minutes.
• Each performer will have up to five performances over two consecutive days in different public locations (e.g., streets, squares).
• A technical jury of street magic experts will select up to 20 participants for the final competition.

3. Competition Details:

• The selected participants during the pre-selections will compete during the FISM WCM 2025 (July 14-19, 2025).
• In case of adverse weather, the schedule may be adjusted in agreement with the judges.
• All participants must adhere to the competition schedule to avoid disqualification.
• Basic technical support will be provided at all performance spots.

4. Participation Conditions:

• Travel and accommodation costs are not reimbursed.
• The artists can pass the hat at the end of each performance and keep the earnings.

5. Evaluation and Voting:

• Judges will use the official FISM grading scale.

6. Awards:

• 1st Place: FISM ITALY 2025 WORLD Champion Street Magic – Demonstration Category
• 2nd Place and 3rd Place awards will also be presented.
• Awards ceremony for the two Demonstration Categories will be held on the main stage before the official FISM WCM ceremony.
